11 strategies for better sleep

Here are some simple and important points for getting better sleep:

1. Get to sleep by 1030pn!!!
2. Minimise exposure to bright lights 2 hours before bed
3. Sleep in a room that is completely dark
4. Avoid stimulants after lunch – including alcohol, caffeine and sugar
5. Avoid sweets in evening
6. Drink plenty of water
7. Get regular exercise
8. Unplug all electrical devices in bedroom – do not use an electric blanket
9. Consult a naturopath
10. Try reading an hour before sleep
11. Try a sleep meditation
