To keep heading towards that long term lifestyle commitment here are many other small changes you can make throughout each day that can make an enormous difference in your health and
fitness levels. Consider the next few points and see if there are any “small” changes you are also able to start incorporating into your day to day life.
Challenge yourself every day to be more active. Take the stairs instead of the lift. Park your car in the most distant spots in the car park. Get off your bus a stop or two early. You could even try wearing a pedometer and setting yourself a goal for a minimum number of steps each day.
Limit your fat intake. Stay away from fried foods, processed fatty meats. Also limit cheese, milk, cream, butter or margarine and choose low fat options
Any activity is good activity when it comes to being more active. Mow the lawn, wash the car, or vacuum the house. Anything that makes you move is good!
Your outlook on life has a MASSIVE impact on your health and well-being. Spend time every day doing something you enjoy and appreciate. Read a book, take a bath, do a workout. Try to be around positive people and avoid negative people where possible.
Why not spend family time exercising. Wouldn’t it be great for your family if you all went for a walk after dinner instead of watching television? Or what if mother and daughter and father and son went down to the gym together? Walk the dog. Kick a ball. Throw a Frisbee, fly a kite! A little outdoor activity will not only benefit your family’s health and fitness it will also bring you all closer together than the T.V. ever will.
